Acro

Acro Dance combines the strength, flexibility, and technique of gymnastics with the artistry and performance quality of dance. Students will learn foundational acrobatic skills such as rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridges, walkovers, and limbers while developing balance, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness. Classes emphasize proper technique, safe skill progression, and confidence-building in a supportive environment. Acro is a great complement to all dance styles and helps dancers enhance their athleticism, versatility, and overall performance skills.

  • Intro to Acro

    NON-RECITAL CLASS

    Ages: 5-6

    Intro to Acro teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique and conditioning. Students are being taught to build a foundation for acrobatics that will set them up for success in the next level.

    Female Attire: Leotard or choice, black leggings or shots, acro shoes or bare feet allowed.  Hair pulled up with no hard head bands or bobby pins, for safety.

    Male Attire: fitted t-shirt of choice, black shorts, bare feet or acro shoes.

    Duration: 45 minutes

  • Beginner Acro

    NON-RECITAL CLASS.

    Ages: 7-12

    Beginner Acro teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique and conditioning. Students will learn such things as handstands, chin stands, splits, cartwheels, bridges, tripods, balance, & contortion tricks. Students are being taught to build a foundation for acrobatics that will set them up for success in the next level.

    Female Attire: Leotard or choice, black leggings or shots, acro shoes or bare feet allowed.  Hair pulled up with no hard head bands or bobby pins, for safety.

    Male Attire: fitted t-shirt of choice, black shorts, bare feet or acro shoes.

    Duration: 1 hour

  • Intermediate Acro

    NON-RECITAL CLASS.

    Ages: 12+

    Intermediate Acro continues to build on all skills learned in beginner acro and works on increased tumbling, stretching, and conditioning.

    Students must be able to hold a headstand, do cartwheel on both sides, hold a bridge, and working on walkovers .

    Female Attire: Leotard or choice, black leggings or shots, acro shoes or bare feet allowed.  Hair pulled up with no hard head bands or bobby pins, for safety.

    Male Attire: fitted t-shirt of choice, black shorts, bare feet or acro shoes.

    Duration: 1 hour
